Updates from Mt. Elbrus - Successful solo ascent by Artashes Mkrtchyan

March 08, 2016- An hour ago we got an update from Artashes about his successful solo ascent to Mt. Elbrus (5642m) after his first attempt on January 5-9, when he made it to 5100 meters and headed back due to closed weather window. According to his Facebook post, he has spent the night in 5300 meters in extreme weather conditions.

He is on his way back to 4200 meters.
