Stepanavan “Sochut” Dendropark

Location: Stepanavan, Lori Province

Establishment: 1933

Occupied area: 35 acres

Since its establishment, around 2500 decorative plants & trees have been studied in the Park. Around 500 types of plants, trees and bushes have been grown, from 27 families & 115 types including Birch, Walnut, Cedar, Fir, Sequoia and other exotic sorts.

The purpose of the Park is to protect the collection and reproduce them upon demand. The mild climate of Stepanavan – with cool & humid summers and moderate cold winters - is favorable to reproduce coniferous, precious and decorative plants.
