Foundation: 7th century, the main church was built in 1187

The monastery used to be an important medieval religious center, located on cliffs in south-east of the Odzun village, with an amazing view of Debed River Gorge.
The complex:
- St. Nshan Church, built in 1187 by the Princes Zakare and Ivane Zakarian, the bell tower was built in 1290
- Tsiranavor-Tsaghkevank (4-5th centuries) and single-nave churches
- Small chapel built in 1201
- Zhamatun or belfry (adjacent to the church, 1301)
- Ruins of St. Arakyal chapel (1216)
- The cemetery.
