Mets Lchasar Ski Trail

Mount Mets Lchasar (2393.8m) is located in the basin of Lake Sevan near the village of Lchashen in Gegharkunik Province, next to the mount Small Lchasar (2334.2m). These mountains divide Gegharkunik and Kotayk provinces. The ski trail starts from Lchashen village, the back way is marked on M4 Yerevan-Sevan highway without reaching Gagarin village.

Monument Description

Geghama mountain range has a volcanic origin and stretches about 65 km in the central part of Armenia in Kotayk, Gegharkunik and Ararat provinces. Mountains Mets Lacasar (2393m), Gutanasar (2299m), Hatis (2529m), Spitakasar (3555m) and Azhdakak (3597m) are located here.

There is a chance to meet bears, wolves and foxes.

Safety precautions:

Mobile connection is available from the village of Lchashen up to the Mountain. In case of incidents, rescue services function in Armenia with 24/7 principle; call 911.
